MB Showcases Digital Banking Innovations at National Fintech Transformation Event 2025

Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) participated in the “Digital Transformation in Banking 2025” event hosted by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), under the theme "Smart Digital Ecosystems in a New Era." The event welcomed the attendance of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, SBV Governor Nguyen Thi Hong, Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas, alongside leaders of ministries, commercial banks, international organizations, and financial industry experts.

At this year's event, MB introduced its latest digital innovations, notably the Biz MBBank platform – a specialized digital banking solution for businesses, aiming to accelerate comprehensive digital transformation and strengthen private sector competitiveness.

Driving a Nationwide Digital Banking Strategy

Building on the success of the 2024 event, the 2025 conference reviewed the progress of Decision No. 810/QD-NHNN and outlined the digitalization vision through 2030. The gathering reflects the strong commitment of the banking sector to lead Vietnam’s development of a modern digital financial ecosystem in line with national resolutions such as Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

Responding to SBV’s strategic direction, MB has embedded digital transformation into its core strategy, emphasizing technology and innovation. The bank has fostered an enterprise-wide digital mindset through extensive internal campaigns and training thousands of staff in data-driven decision-making. MB is committed to aligning with the Government and SBV to position digitalization as a pillar of sustainable development in the financial sector.

Biz MBBank – Digital-First Banking for Vietnamese Enterprises

At the event's technology showcase, MB unveiled Biz MBBank, a smart financial ecosystem tailored to Vietnamese enterprises, built on three key pillars: Speed, Security, and Seamless Connectivity.

Far beyond a traditional e-banking app, Biz MBBank integrates cutting-edge technologies such as AI, Big Data, and DocAI. The platform enables enterprises to complete the entire credit lifecycle—from approval and disbursement to issuing Letters of Credit (L/C)—entirely online, without paper documents. The processing time is reduced by 10 times compared to traditional methods.

Notably, DocAI automates document verification, reducing processing time by 75%, enhancing accuracy, and minimizing operational costs. MB has also launched a credit scoring model based on real-time data such as cash flow, e-invoices, and account activity—making credit access more equitable and less dependent on collateral.

Prime Minister Visits MB’s Digital Booth – A Testament to Innovation Capacity

MB’s technology booth received the special visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, underlining the government’s recognition of the bank’s role in fostering digital solutions for businesses. MB’s solutions not only demonstrate cutting-edge capabilities but also deliver practical value to enterprises of all sizes.

Key outcomes presented by MB at the event include:

100% of business loan applications processed online, with funding available in as little as 2 hours

Customs clearance in just 1 second via system integration with customs authorities

End-to-end process automation using AI, Big Data, and DocAI

Intelligent credit scoring based on cash flow, e-invoices, and tax records – independent of collateral

Customer-Centric Vision and Social Responsibility

With a customer-first philosophy, MB views digital transformation not just as a tech upgrade, but a mission to better serve clients, enterprises, and society. The bank currently operates two major digital platforms: Biz MBBank, serving over 350,000 businesses, and APP MBBank, with over 33 million individual users, processing up to 8 billion transactions annually.

Looking ahead, MB plans to deeply integrate AI into financial decision-making, interconnect with national data systems, expand Open Finance platforms, and partner with the Government’s digital services. These initiatives aim to contribute to a modern, transparent, and fully digital Vietnam.

MB representative Mr. Vu Hong Phu emphasized: "For MB, digital transformation is not just a growth strategy – it is a historic mission to help shape a prosperous future for Vietnam."
